Upgrading to version 6.8+ of the DataMart Client

Problem

Lincoln Peak is no longer the developer for PopMedNet. As of DataMart client version 6.8, all references to Lincoln Peak have been removed from the DataMart client subfolders where network settings are stored. Network settings are your configuration settings for your DataMart including your username and password and connection settings for a database.

The subfolder that stored network settings was called: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\LincolnPeak\PMN

It is now called: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\PopMedNet\PMN

Solution

You must move your current network settings to the correct subfolder in order to avoid manual reconfiguration of the network settings once you install DataMart Client version 6.8+. You only need to perform these steps one time - when upgrading from DataMart client version 6.7.1 or older to DataMart client version 6.8 or newer

  1. Find your current DataMart Client Network Settings file in the following location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\LincolnPeak\PMN
  2. Copy the NetworkSetting.xml and save in to a local folder to which you have access
  3. Uninstall your current DataMart Client
  4. Download the newest DataMart Client
  5. Copy the NetworkSetting.xml file from step 2
  6. Navigate to the new DataMart Client folder at the following location: C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\PopMedNet\PMN
  7. Paste the NetworkSetting.xml file into this new location
  8. Your existing network settings will now load when you open the newly installed DataMart client
