The DataMart Client application allows a DataMart Administrator to view requests, execute requests locally, review the results, and upload the results to the network Portals. The DataMart Client may connect to multiple networks, multiple DataMarts within those networks, and multiple data sources. A typical data source is a Microsoft Access database file with a .mdb or .accdb extension or a a Postgres database in the pgAdmin application. Other database types, for example SQL Server or an Oracle database, are supported. The DataMart Client is a .NET/C# Windows desktop application developed that which is installed locally on a DataMart Administrator’s desktop or a server environment. All communications between the DataMart Client application and the Portal use HTTP/SSL/TLS connections to securely transfer requests and results between the desktop application and the Querytool/Portal.
