The DataMart Client Application
The DataMart Client may connect to multiple networks, multiple DataMarts within those networks, and multiple data sources. A typical data source is a Microsoft Access database file with a .mdb or .accdb extension or a Postgres database in the pgAdmin application. Other database types, for example SQL Server, are supported.
The DataMart Client is a .NET/C# Windows desktop application developed by the Harvard Pilgrim Health Care Institute that is installed locally on a DataMart Administrator’s desktop. All communications between the DataMart Client application and the Portal use HTTP/SSL/TLS connections to securely transfer requests and results between the application and the Portal.
