Most Frequently Used (MFU) Summary Table Queries

The Most Frequently Used (MFU) feature allows you to query the top n events, members, days supply, or dispensing within a specified query type (drugs, diagnoses, or procedures) within the Prevalence tables.

Diagnosis and Procedure Queries

The MFU Diagnosis and Procedure queries provide the top n events or members within the Prevalence tables. The counts are stratified by code, setting of visit, age group, sex, and year.

The MFU Diagnosis and Procedure queries include ICD-9 3-, 4, or 5-digit Diagnosis, HCPCS Procedure, and ICD-9 3-, and 4-Digit Procedure queries. To compose an MFU Diagnosis or Procedure query, click on the New Request button in the request panel, select Summary: Most Frequently Used Queries, and select the request type. This will display the Request Composer page for the specific query type.

The request specific criteria for the MFU Diagnosis and Procedure query types only vary from one another by the codes that are included. Note that you cannot query across code types. For example, a single query may not return codes for ICD-9 3-digit and 5-digit diagnoses. The following figure shows the request specific criteria for an MFU ICD-9 3-digit Diagnosis query type:
