Managing your Organization Metadata

Each Organization has its own profile page on the Portal. These pages provide information about the specific organizations in the network. Any user in the network may view this information.

Editing your Organization Metadata

  1. Select Network from the top portal toolbar
  2. Navigate to the Organization list page (Network > Organizations).
  3. Click on your Organization entry in the list to display the Organization profile.
  4. Complete the following fields:
    1. Organization Information
      • General Information: Name, acronym, parent, contact name, contact phone, contact email.
      • Organization Information: enter a description of your organization.
      • Collaboration Requirements and Additional Information: describe your organization's collaboration requirements and any additional information that you would like to make available to the network.
      • Research Capabilities: describe the research capabilities of your organization.
      • Willingness To Participate in Research: select whether your organization is willing to participate in observational research, clinical trials, and/or pragmatic clinical trials
      • Type of Data Collected: select the data that you have available at your organization. Note that this does not imply that you are making this data available to the network. Enter additional data types in the "Other" field.
      • Electronic Health Records System Used: if your organization utilizes electronic health records, select the type and name of the EHR system from the dropdown or select "Other" and type the name in the box provided.  Record initial year of use as start year and final year of use as end year.
      • Data Models: select the data models that your organization utilizes. Note that this does not imply that these data models are queryable within this network. Enter additional data models in the "Other" field.
    2. Registries and Research Data Sets
      • Name, Type, Description.
      • Create a new registry, add an existing registry, or remove a registry that is no longer active.
