Introduction
These release notes cover PopMedNet version 5.3. Enhancements and bug fixes are listed below.
A new desktop DataMart Client is not required unless otherwise specified by your PopMedNet network support team.

| Viewing Question Engine-based result sets is now less restricted | Question Engine results can now be downloaded from the request overview page. Results can also be accessed after a request has manually been moved to the Complete step. |
| Viewing Question Engine-based result sets is now a transient process | Viewing results for Question Engine-based requests is no longer a unique step in request workflow, allowing for multiple users to view results concurrently. |
| Rich text in the DataMart Client | The DataMart Client is now capable of displaying rich text metadata descriptions for Question Engine-based requests. |
| Adding saved Criteria Groups | Users can now add saved criteria groups to the primary criteria group when composing PCORnet Menu-Driven Queries. |
| Additional field options for PCORnet Menu-Driven Queries | Added all values for the Race term, allowing a user to filter queries on any race value in the v3 PCORnet CDM. |
| Added request copying functionality to Question Engine | Question Engine-based requests using the default workflow can now be copied. |
| Added PCORnet CDM Schema field in the DataMart Client | Users responding to PCORnet menu-driven queries can now enter their database schema into their DataMart configuration settings. There is no longer any requirement to rename database schemas in order for menu-driven querying to function. |
| Added the ability to subscribe to My vs. General email notifications | Users can now choose to subscribe to Request Status Changed and Routing Status Changed email notifications that are only sent for requests they created/submitted themselves. |
| DataMart Client security update | The DataMart Client now supports TLS 1.2* |
*Only the 5.3 DataMart Client supports TLS 1.2. Previous versions utilize TLS 1.1. A DataMart Client update is required if TLS 1.2 encryption is desired for DataMart Client communication.

| Fixed request overview documents | Fixes a bug that allowed documents attached to the documents tab on a Question Engine request to be viewed on the Request Overview Page. |
| Fixed Question Engine-based request statuses | Question Engine-based request statuses are now correct and searchable via Request Metadata Searches. |
| Removed irrelevant selection options from Sex Stratification | Removed the drop-down containing irrelevant selection options when adding a Sex Stratification to a PCORnet Menu-Driven Query. |
| Fixed DataMart history logs | Fixes an issue where the history date/timestamp is displayed incorrectly for DataMart routings that were added after the original request submission. |
| Fixed account registration issues caused by phone number field | Registrations no longer hang indefinitely if a phone number is entered in the incorrect format. |
| Corrected PCORnet Menu-Driven Query logic | When composing a PCORnet Menu-Driven Query, multiple diagnosis terms within a single criteria group are now correctly ORed with each other. |
| Fixed Approve and Reject results buttons | The Approve and Reject response buttons are now hidden if the user does not have permission to approve/reject responses or if the routing is not awaiting approval. |
| Fixed Resubmit button for Question Engine-based requests | The Resubmit button is now only displayed if the user has been given explicit permission to resubmit. |
| Fixed DataMart routing panel filtering | DataMarts in the routing panel now correctly filter when composing Question Engine requests depending on what data model terms/stratifications pertain to. |
| Fixed low threshold warning pop-up window | A pop-up dialogue window is now displayed after executing PCORnet menu-driven queries in the DataMart Client and the result set contains one or more rows with a count below the user-defined threshold. |
| Fixed Oracle 12 execution error | Fixes an error encountered when executing complex PCORnet menu-driven queries against Oracle 12 that would cause the query to fail. |
