Summary Table Queries

Summary Table Queries execute against Sentinel Common Data Model Summary Tables. The summary tables are created through distributed SAS code written by the Sentinel Operations Center and executed against the Sentinel Distributed Database held by each data partner. These tables provide summary counts of individuals by period, age group, and sex. The summary counts include information on medication use (e.g., number of dispensings, users, and days supplied), diagnoses (e.g., number of individuals with the diagnosis), procedures, and the overall data partner population.

Summary Tables are also used by select users to query Truven Market Scan data via the Sentinel and HDC query tools.
