Configuring your DataMart Client Network Connection

The first time you launch the DataMart Client application you need to configure it to connect to a Network Query Tool/ Web Portal. Once you are connected to a Network, you don't have to perform these steps again.

  1. Click the Open Settings link to display the Network List dialog.
  2. Click the Add button to enter the network connection settings
  3. In the Network Settings window, enter the following information
    1. Network Name: A network name of your choice, it's the the name you will see for the network in your DataMart Client
    2. Service URL: The network web portal service URL; this it different from the URL used to navigate directly to the query tool web portal:
      1. Sentinel: https://api.sentinelsystem.org
      2. PCORnet: https://api.pcornet.org
      3. HDC: https://api.healthdatacollaboration.net
        • This is the service URL for the BBCIC, CASCADES-AD, CRN, Harmony, HCSRNnet, IMEDs, NDI+, NIH Collab - Dimentia, NIH Collab DRN, Privacy Preserving Methods, Shingrix, and UCB projects
    3. Username and Password
      1. Enter the same username and password that you use to access the network's query tool web portal. The query tool/web portal and the DataMart client make up the PopMedNet system and you have a single set of credentials for the system.
    4. X509 Certificate: Leave as <None>
  4. Click the Test button to test your connection information. You should see a “Connection Successful” message. If the connection fails, please see your PopMedNet Network Administrator for support
  5. Click the OK button on the "Connection Successful" message box to return to the Network Settings dialog box that will display the list of DataMarts you have rights to administer
  6. Click the Apply button to save your connection settings. You must click apply for connection settings to save, if you click the x on the top right corner of the Network Settings dialog box, your connection settings will not save
  7. Click Continue on this page to move to instructions for "Configuring Your DataMarts"
