PopMedNet Browser, OS, Database and DataMart Client Compatibility Matrix

Rev Mar 4, 2019, Oct 5, 2017, Apr 22, 2016, Jan 10, 2015

In general, LPP supports only vendor's current version and its immediate previous version (N and N-1). All other versions (including those terminated by vendors) will be supported but only on request but each bug fixed related to these versions will be funded/billed separately from main contract work, and resources (such as extended vendor support) has to be provided by HPHCI.

This is especially true with browser. All secondary browsers such as Opera will not be supported directly and while they may work, will not be tested.

Furthermore at this time, no mobile browsers are tested, however it is planed that in the future the website will be updated to better support mobile browsers and the test matrix will be expanded to support the major mobile browsers on the market at that time in the same current-1 methodology.

DataMart Forward Compatibility

There is no rule stating that new DMC cannot connect to older PMN. We just don't support it.
It's always been new DMC should work with new PMN having outstanding Requests created in an older version of PMN.
Additionally older DMC should work with new PMN unless there is a required DMC upgrade. However, required DMC backwards compatibility should still BE treated an exception rather than the rule.

* Windows 7, Oracle 11g supported by HPHCI request. Both of these are now in end-of-life extended support by their respective vendors. Lincoln Peak's support for PMN on terminated software extends only to verifying and fixing PMN bugs relying on those systems on a case-by-case basis and will rely on Harvard Pilgrim providing extended support coverage for Lincoln Peak. (Issues on "unsupported" platform should be treated as an Improvement and work treated as a SPIKE. Improvement means that we will turn it into a Story once points are allocated, funder entered and issue approved. SPIKE means that we will estimate points on this Improvement but we cannot guarantee a solution. Points will be lowered if it turns out to be a simple problem or added if it exceeds the original estimate. We will let client know before preceding when that happens.)

** 5.3 and 5.6 DMC won't be able to support 6.0 queries because of changes in the interface between DMC core and the adapters to support early initialization. (This is to support across the board File Distribution.)

*** 6.0 can support queries all the way back to 5.3.

**** 6.0 will have to be a required upgrade.
