This issue occurs with DataMart Client versions prior to version 3.3.0. It is caused by using a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office with a 64-bit version of Windows. |
Problem
The ODBC Administrator Tool does not list 'Microsoft Access DriveDriver' as an option.
Solution
To create an ODBC connection in this situation, access toDataMart Client version 3.3.0 or later
Reinstall the DataMart Client application. During the installation process, you should be prompted to install one or more Access Database Engines. Ensure that these components are installed. If you do not see this option or if they do not install correctly, contact your Network Administrator.
DataMart Client version 3.2.12 or prior
Create an ODBC connection from the 32-bit version of the 32-bit version of the ODBC Administrator Tool is required. This can be access by. Follow the steps below to access this tool:
- Open the 'Start' menu
- Click 'Run'
- Enter Enter c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe into into the text field
- Click 'OK'
From here you will ,follow the standard procedure for /wiki/spaces/DPM/pages/491585 creating the ODBC connection to your database.
