Microsoft Access Driver is not an option in the ODBC Administrator Tool

This issue is caused by using a 32-bit version of Microsoft Office with a 64-bit version of Windows.

Problem

The ODBC Administrator Tool does not list 'Microsoft Access Driver' as an option. 

Solution

DataMart Client version 3.3.0 or later

Reinstall the DataMart Client application. During the installation process, you should be prompted to install one or more Access Database Engines. Ensure that these components are installed. If you do not see this option or if they do not install correctly, contact your Network Administrator.

DataMart Client version 3.2.12 or prior

Create an ODBC connection from the 32-bit version of the 32-bit version of the ODBC Administrator Tool. Follow the steps below to access this tool:

  1. Open the 'Start' menu
  2. Click 'Run'
  3. Enter c:\windows\sysWOW64\odbcad32.exe into the text field
  4. Click 'OK'

From here,follow the standard procedure for creating the ODBC connection to your database.
