For All Users

Vastly improved performance and stability

A massive backend update to the PopMedNet system means faster page loading, quicker saves, and a more responsive experience. PopMedNet is now more stable and scalabe to handle even the largest networks.

Modernized user interface

Every page of the user interface features new controls and components for a cleaner design and better usability.

Improved email notifications

All email notifications have been improved to include more information, more natural language, and style improvements to more easily find the information that you need. Subject lines are more descriptive so that you can mange the flow of incoming notifications in your inbox.

Immediate email notifications really are immediate

Previously, email notification subscriptions set to send "Immediately" would send on a schedule of up to fifteen minutes. Now there is no delay - immediate email notifications send as soon as the triggering action is complete.

Remember, if you find you're receiving too many emails, you can always adjust which notifications to receive and their frequency by adjusting your preferences on your user profile.

Enhanced table sorting and filtering

Every table on the Portal features enhanced grid controls so that you can sort, filter, and rearrange any column to customize your view.

Improved Portal login process

The Portal login process has been streamlined so that you no longer need to check off that you agree to the Terms and Conditions each time.

For Requesters

Improved request statuses

Request statuses now more intuitively reflect the DataMart routing statuses within the request. A request is now marked as Complete if all DataMarts have responded by uploading responses or rejecting the request.

New "Additional Instructions" metadata

Now you can separate your description of the request from your instructions to the DataMarts. The "Additional Instructions" metadata field may be entered when composing a request. It is included in the redesigned New Request Submitted email notification and is available to DataMart Administrators when they view the details of the request in their DataMart Clients.

Easier file upload

The file upload controls for File Distribution and Modular Program Distribution requests are simpler and no longer require Microsoft Silverlight.

New Code Selector wizard

The code selector wizard has been updated so that you can add codes to your request faster.

All DataMart routings for a request can be canceled

Sent a request in error? All DataMart routings can be now be removed from a request to cancel it.

For DataMart Administrators

Forward-compatible DataMart Client

The DataMart Client is now forward-compatible and automatically downloads request packages using the same protocol as the request itself and run within a highly secure sandbox environment. This allows for more frequent updates to request types without requiring you to install the updated software, but does not sacrifice the security of the DataMart Client or its connection to your data.

View requests submitted to your DataMart on the Portal

You can now review all the requests available to you on the Portal as well as in your DataMart Client. See the request metadata and parameters, download any files distributed to you, view your DataMart's routing status for the request, and review any results or files that you've uploaded in response to a request.

Additional request metadata fields available in the DataMart Client

All metadata entered by the requester is now available in the DataMart Client when viewing the details of a request. Newly available fields include Additional Instructions, Workplan Type, and Requester Center.

Improved DataMart Audit Report

The DataMart Audit Report now accurately displays the number of days that a request has been or was open at your DataMart.

Easier to find DataMart Client download

The DataMart Client installer is now available on the Resources page on the Portal.
