Request Types

The system currently supports a number of request types:

  • Summary Table Queries - menu-driven queries that execute against Sentinel Common Data Model Summary Table databases
  • ESP Requests - menu-driven queries that execute against ESP: MDPHnet databases
  • File Distribution Requests - used to exchange documents between the Portal and DataMarts
  • Menu-Driven Queries (MDQs) - easy-to-use tool that executes against the PCORnet Common Data Model in all supported relational database management systems (RDBMS).  Query returns patient counts based on the set of criteria selected.
  • Modular Program Distribution Requests - used to distribute modular program packages and results between the Portal and DataMarts
  • SQL Distribution Requests - used to distributed raw SQL between the Portal and DataMarts
  • /wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/8880343 - menu-driven queries that execute against Data Checker tables, created from data quality review and characterization output
  • /wiki/spaces/DOC/pages/8880341 - menu-driven queries that search information about Requests, Organizations, DataMarts, and Registries within a network.
  • Queries composed from a number of external applications, such as i2b2, that use a native interface to compose a query and submit it to a PopMedNet network
  • Custom request types: Custom request types contain the elements below. Only administrators at designated network operating centers have the ability to create request types.
    • Workflow: The steps involved in the request
    • Data Model: The network data model it supports
    • Data Adapter Detail: The specific sub-model for a particular network data model. ( For Sentinel summary tables, data model = Sentinel Summary Table, data adapter detail = prevalence, etc)
    • Interface: The interface used by the request; it could be the MDQ interface or standard file distribution.
